Dr. Rebecca Bignold is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fibraxis, a biotech spin-out from Aston University focused on innovative approaches to fibrosis and asthma. With an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biomedical Science, she brings deep expertise in cellular mechanisms of fibrosis and disease-driven research. Rebecca has led Fibraxis through leading accelerator programmes, including SPARK The Midlands and Plug and Play UK, while also securing pre-seed funding. Combining a strong scientific background with entrepreneurial drive, she is committed to advancing new therapies and building impactful collaborations.
